Semi-dull is relative to dull. Dull is what we call matte, that is, the use of extinction agent to deal with the effect of light. It is a kind of post-treatment process of chemical fiber fabric.
The luster is the property of polyester, nylon, acrylic and other fibers. The woven fabric is glossy, but this gloss may not look good in normal aesthetics. What’s worse, its reflective effect will be too dazzling, etc. As a result, we have done extinction treatment on this kind of fabric. Some designers have different requirements for this kind of luster, like some requiring total dull (matte), some requiring semi-dull, and some having no standard for semi-dull. We should compare samples and guests' preferences to grasp them because some are called too bright, others are called too dumb.
